It’s now been two years since the lockdown was first started and impacted most drivers all over the world. We will be discussing ways which are affected. According to the department of transport, there is seen a decrease of almost 25 % in vehicle traffic from 2019. This was recorded as the lowest in the last 30 years in the yearly car traffic. Motorway dynamics change around 31%.
During the pandemic, there were fewer vehicles on the roads as borders and intercity traveling was banned by most countries to avoid the spread. Truck shipment was banned which created a lot of manufacturers' trouble as raw material was not able to reach the factories and they could not produce goods for their consumers. The global supply chain was affected and congestion at the ports made it worst. China’s huge amount of economy is dependent on its exports of the country and they are also the largest tire-producing country.
The tire distributors
were facing a shortage of tires in their respected countries and started
dealing in the local brands as they were easily available.
This all affected in a
way that consumers were left with no choice to rather go for local tire brands
as imports were shut for the longest period.
